When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
As it is in political separation, we have come to a time of true separation, done by God himself. This is not a time of coming together, but of wheat being separated from chaff, sheep being separated from goats, dead fruitless branches being cut off from the vine. The judgment of God begins in the house of God.
People are now being forced to choose. There is ever increasing pressure to choose the evil world totalitarian system with its false promises, or choose the God who created us and all the good things He has provided us with. The choice is between evil men who kill without mercy, or the God who loved us so much he sent his only Son to die and save us. The choice is between the needle and eternal life.
Why has this time of judgment come upon us? We have more information than at any other time in the history of mankind. The Bible is there. The truth is there. Did you seek after the truth? Do you love the truth?
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind, of birds, four-footed animals, and crawling creatures.
Notice that these people knew God. They knew Him but did not honor Him or give thanks. So God darkened their hearts and they began to worship idols instead of the true God. We’re talking about people sitting in the churches thinking they are saved. We’re talking the majority of people sitting in the churches.
Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them up to vile impurity in the lusts of their hearts, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, 27 and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper, 29 people having been filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, and evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unfeeling, and unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
It is for these types of reasons that the wrath of God is coming on the whole world. The time of peace is over. If you haven’t taken the needle, there is still hope. You can repent and put your trust in the lifeline that God has thrown us: Jesus. You can open the Bible and find out what God has done for us that is so wonderful. You can give Him thanks and honor. The separation is happening. Which side will you be on?
