It's the sad account of man's refusal to trust in God. You could spend lifetimes ferreting out the meaning packed into every verse. Even the genealogies have hidden treasures! It is loaded with foreshadowing and outright prediction of things to come. It's the answer to all life's tough questions: who am I? why am I here? what is my purpose in life? what will happen to me after I die? It defines what love is. To read it is to be lifted up.
